1. Add olive oil to large stockpot. Heat oil over medium heat.
2. Add garlic, carrots, celery, onion, okra, and corn to stockpot. Saute until tender.
3. Add vegetable stock, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, cayenne pepper, anise seeds, pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
4. Stir in azuki beans, black beans, chickpeas, fava beans, lentils, kidney beans, and pinto beans.
5. Simmer 30 minutes.
